MAPP allows you to overlay multiple data sets and view them on a map. For example, this could mean combining:

  1. Your store locations
  2. Your competitor store locations
  3. Retail type & strength

In doing so, you may start to understand why some stores perform better than others. It may also help you to identify ‘gaps’ in your portfolio and highlight potential growth areas.

Taking this a step further, once you add in catchment demographic information, you start to get a more comprehensive picture. In doing so, it can help you to understand if, for example, the catchment - of both existing and potential sites - aligns well to your target market. With a few clicks of a button you can then export this information to a formatted report which can be sent straight to your investment board. MAPP can also display target market ‘heat maps’ which, when overlaid with your portfolio, may help to highlight new territories to enter (and those to potentially exit!).

The functionality of MAPP doesn’t stop there though. It also supports the integration of more complex location planning tools. For example, sales forecasting and analogue / benchmark models can be embedded allowing you to access turnover estimates wherever you may be.
